  7. Who Are We?
  8.  
  9. The Launceston Macintosh User Group  (LaMUG) is a club of enthusiastic
  10. Macintosh users that has been operating in Launceston since 1986.
  11. In this time the group has accumulated valuable resources such as public
  12. domain software, books, videos and the combined experience of all the
  13. members. These resources are available at our meetings to all that attend.

  15. Meeting Times and Venue
  16.  
  17. Meetings are usually held on the second or third Tuesday of the month
  18. (except January) at St Patrick's College Mac Labs, 282 Bass Highway,
  19. Prospect Vale. Enter front gate and turn left, go around the chapel and
  20. through the gates into the quadrangle, the Mac labs will be on your left.
  21. Meeting are from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Please phone a committee member to
  22. confirm meeting date and venue.

  24. LaMUG Magazine
  25.  
  26. Our magazine is free to all members and is published 11 times a year (no
  27. issue in January). It contains the pick of the local and international
  28. Macintosh news, hints and tips.  It usually runs to 16-20 pages.

  30. Software Library
  31.  
  32. The software library contains approximately 200 x 800k disks as well as two
  33. CD ROM players and ten CD's. We have the cheapest PD library in the world.
  34. Its FREE for copying at our meetings and only $4 per disk by mail.  We also
  35. have an extensive collection of books and magazines available free to 
  36. members.  Members can hire CD ROM drives for $10 a week and training videos
  37. for $5 per week
